He's not really at the level of the QB's who earn that though. Maybe Matt Ryan but he's had more success than him. I just don't get the logic behind paying an injury prone QB who hasn't played a full season in 4 years, that much

you have to look at the market and need

supply and demand

If he does get 20 mil, it's going to be loaded with incentives. This was basically his first full year in the league. I don't think there are many teams that will go all in on 20 mil a season with Bradford.

Signing Sam Bradford to be your QB is like hiring Mike Mularkey as hC. You're so risk averse that you'd rather have a known negative than an unknown.

We know what Bradford is by now. He's soft, injury prone and no leadership. He'll have some bright spots every now and then but he's just another dude.

Top Free Agent QB's:

Sam Bradford
Ryan Fitzpatrick
Brock Osweiler
Matt Cassel
Brandon Weeden
RG3 (assumed)
Matt McGloin
Dan Orlovsky
Mike Vick
Case Keenum
Thad Lewis
TJ Yates
Matt Flynn
Luke McCown
Chad Henne
Matt Schaub
Chase Daniel
Tavaris Jackson
Brandon Weeden
Jimmy Clausen
Matt Moore
Josh Johnson
Charlie Whitehurst
Drew Stanton
Kellen Clemens
Bruce Gradkowski
Matt Hasselbeck

this is why Sam will get paid

And the recycle continues...not to sound harsh, everyone of these guys should be out the league except Sam, Fitz, Brock, Luke, and RG3.

Sam Bradford to Cowboys as Romo's successor

Not sure if you are joking or serious...but this would never work. You think either of those guys would be cool w/ being a backup?
:lol at Sam having a ego after the season he just had. He should be the most humble dude in the league.

Doesn't matter. He's a starter in the league. He's not going anywhere to back up someone, let alone Romo...who has a chokehold on that position until he's clearly washed.

Nick Foles, Case Keenum, Austin Davis, Shaun Hill, Kellen Clemens

I doubt they'd go back but those are all good reasons

So am I the only one who thinks Bradford's decision to turn down that extension will end up working out in his favor?

Elite QB's NEVER go out on the market. Great or very good QB's almost never do either, MAYBE once every blue moon for whatever reason.

Decent QB's and high quality backups though? All the time. I'd say Sam is hovering above average range. And he's a QB. Different price tag for those guys.

So I think there's gonna be some team out there with money that thinks they'll be able to "fix" him (NFL arrogance) and will throw a buttload of money at dude. It could be Philly too.

@RyanHannable: Credit to @LouMerloni on this one: Peyton Manning teams in the playoffs are 3-12 when the opponent scores 19 or more points.
Yo.

That's almost as bad as the Alex Smith stat. I rock with Peyton and it probably needs more context, but that ain't a good look at all.

Brady is also 2-6 in Denver...

If they don't win, they have no one to blame but themselves. Two garbage L's in the reg. season to let go of homefield advantage. And with this snowstorm about to hit the East Coast, if they were playing in Foxboro this weekend...
