I can't equate deflating footballs and a gambling scheme within a league. I get the comparison and metaphor but too far apart on the spectrum for me
Still can't believe they didn't settle at a game of that was truly on the table
Betting on MLB games you manage is not the same as an equipment issue.
Look at similar equipment misconduct.
What were the punishments for the Chargers, Vikings or Jay Feely?
The NFL could not even prove Brady was involved in deflating the balls. Goodell just said HE didn't find Brady's story believable.
It is the same and here's how. Competitive advantage. Rose was a player and manager. His play and moves as a manager could effect the game on field influenced by betting.
I'm not for or against Tom. I have enough to worry about being a Skins fan. Any sane person would know and many HOF QBs have stated that there is no way you can't tell a difference in pressure. I don't think it's a big deal because I'm sure many have done it. You just can't have the public in anyway believe there isn't a level playing field and the games fixed towards one team to win. It's WWE at that point.
The NFL isn't worried about Tom anymore. Their appeal is about maintaining the bargaining agreement. Without that you have chaos.
Why does Tom Brady get his alleged equipment violation get treated like an armed robbery when the other violations were treated like a parking ticket?
Let's pretend asking your equipment manager to deflate Footballs is a HUGE competitive advantage.
Aren't the Chargers, Vikings and Jay Feely equipment violations similar in nature?
What were their punishments?

Over 7 hours later, and @mortreport has yet to report on his Twitter the biggest NFL story of the year. #Brady
Nah Goodell actually followed the CBA. That's why a lot of people were saying the players can't really be all that mad about how stuff is being handled, this is the CBA they agreed to.I believe the main point of the Brady case was that Goodell didn't follow the CBA. It doesn't mean Goodell has no power, it just means he needs to follow the CBA.
If anything Goodell needs to tone down the punishment, it doesn't help anybody tangibly.

Just had to drop a quick line to the biggest GOAT hater on mother earth. You're about 7 hours too late.
I don't hate any GOATs tho.

I said I don't think it was a big deal. The NFL did and I'm telling you what their angle was. They could have made a big deal about those others but didn't. I never said the treatment was fair.
Pats were snitched on before hand and sure enough had done exactly what was reported. They could have brushed it off but it's the PATS! What's the other teams you named current cheating history? The whispers are louder with them. Many teams, players and fans are on record before hand calling them cheaters. They're the one team who if caught people wouldn't let it go.
Those other teams are losing while cheating. Pats winning SBs. The spotlight and attention is totally different. People care more.
You cant punish one team with alleged equipment violations differently just because they win alot.

The big thing right now is that the judge essentially called into question the powers Goodell supposedly has under the CBA, it doesn't look the same if a precedent has been set that these powers aren't necessarily defendable in the courtroom.
It's also the reason why people were saying early on that this case is much bigger than Brady.
