times almost up elway. you lose von, you might lose some of the young guys when their contracts are up.

Is there some reason I'm missing as to why Elway doesn't want to give the guy a big contract?

he signed some guys for cheap so the front office think the same can be done for everyone else. if they wont pay the defensive pillar and guy who brought home a superbowl and was the sb mvp then no one will get paid and will be lowballed. young guys will look for other teams when free agents because they wont think they will get paid accordingly.

They're up tight against the cap right now, but in 2017 they'll have the 3rd most cap space in the entire league. I was surprised to see that.

Elway has tons of experience working magic around Denver's cap.
