Charity should kick that money right back at him.

it's so fake, it annoys me when people screw up and are sorry all the sudden

this is why I have great love for Vick, he owned it all and became a better person

Whats the over/under on Brady trying taking this to the Supreme Court?
He didn't hire Ted Olson to stop here. He's had the Supreme Court in his sights way before this.

The problem is...once the 3 judge appeals panel reversed Judge Berman's ruling with a 2-1 decision, this case was effectively rendered dead. That's why I said Pretty Jimmy was starting the first 4 games before they even came down with a decision. All the reporters in the court room that day said the testimony went against Brady, and 2 of those 3 judges were very harsh on the NFLPA. Different viewpoint and opinion from what Berman focused on.

He had a less than 1% chance of even getting a hearing with the full 2nd Court (which was denied today). That's not an exaggeration...they rarely grant en banc hearings. Super rare.

The chances it even gets heard by the Supreme Court is a longer hail mary attempt, and we all know Brady isn't good at deep throws so here we are.

If they do file with the SCOTUS, does the case get automatically stayed while they consider taking it?

Anyone else tripping out that 2 years later deflategate is still being discussed?

Whenever I come into the NFL thread and see a new update on deflategate I feel like my life's been rewound or that I've just been dreaming for the past 2 years.

***** unbelievable :lol

Jimmy G is still better than any current and former Jets QB still playing :lol
:rollin :rollin
He can't be, I remember him playing the panthers D in preseason this man threw a pick that Josh dropped and the VERY next snap he threw another gimme to Bene. Both passes were worst then the ones Kaepernick had in Arizona.
Hell he could've improved and don't want to judge him of 1 preseason game but we'll see

Agreed. Did you catch any of that documentary Bleacher Report released?

Not trying to argue here, but just for discussions sake...

How do we truly ever know whether or not people have or haven't learned from their mistakes?

Just because someone's public apology comes off as rehearsed or fake doesn't always necessarily mean they don't feel genuine regret and pain over their mistake.

Some people can become better from adversity and have a hard time communicating it.

We don't ever REALLY know whether or not someone's learned from their mistake. We can use our common sense, observation skills, and judgment to give our opinions but for all we know someone can come up with the most genuine apology in the world but still be evil inside with no remorse.

I mean in Vick's case he is still out there doing charity stuff and working with dogs, he could easily stop all this by now

I think Vick is a legit good human being just off my observations

in Crowell's case, I don't think you post something like that unless you really feel strongly about it, doubt his feelings changed in 48 hours, he just saw that NFL money potentially going out the window...that's my take

First Ted Olson will file a stay with the 2nd Court (the same court that Brady's dealt with this whole time and denied his hearing today). That stay request will obviously get denied too.

Then he'll ask the Supreme Court for a stay, and Brady has slightly better odds with that because it's only one judge saying yay or nay.

Once he presumably gets a nay from that one Supreme Court judge, his final option is filing an appeal with the Supreme Court itself. And once that gets denied, this thing is legally exhausted and FINALLY over.

The NFLPA's best chance going forward is a circuit split from the lower courts on a similar case. This hasn't got anywhere near as much attention as Deflategate, but the Adrian Peterson case is still ongoing. The NFL is appealing AP's victory. If AP wins again on appeal, that would be the circuit split needed to raise the odds for a Supreme Court hearing.

It's pretty much over though, and has been for a while.

Damn I forgot about the moves NYG made. Yea I'm def making that switch. Houston still doesn't have a qb. Brock is stealing money and Houston fans will want his head by week 10.

Yeah, were not sure what Brock is but Houston made it to the playoffs with even less under center last season.

Totally forgot about the Bengals too.
