OFFICIAL NFLOFFSZN THREAD 2024-25: WHERE THE LOSERS DWELL

Troy Aikman doesn’t like Jerry Jones. As he should too. He’s stilled pissed at how Jerry did Jimmy J :lol :lol

Nah nah nah.. ain’t even about jimmy, even though obviously jerruh did jimmy dirty.. jerruh knew the situation between switzer and Troy

And then supposedly it was switzer who was leaking stuff to skip and started his career and that book

I feel bad for Mayo but that dude was NOT a good coach

Hopefully he gets a DC job somewhere to prove himself and work his way up because he had to run before he learned to crawl it it was pretty apparent.

Vrabel was pressed this morning on having a rep of being a run first, conservative offense philosphy....paraphrased:

"Our best player was a running back, as you can see in Baltimore right now...."

:lol

Should have asked what tannerhill was up to these days

I respectfully disagree with Bo on this one. Going through an actual interview process and getting connections is what the Rooney Rule was designed to do like he said but that isn’t what’s currently happening. He can talk up Brian L all he wants but the sad reality is that many guys aren’t given actual interviews with useful feedback to actually get another job or interview. If that were the case Eric B would’ve learned something in all of the Rooney Rule interviews he’s had.

The Rooney Rule used to be done with way more good faith than it is now. Most teams are rushing to meet the requirements that they use it as a check the box exercise to get through it as quickly as possible to hire the candidate that they actually want. Brian Flores mentioned this as part of his lawsuit. I’m all for getting folks good faith and real interviews with real feedback but Bo is giving NFL owners way more credit than they deserve on this front.

Entering the 4th quarter with the franchise on the line. Time for Tom to come in clutch one more time :lol

Something definitely happened :lol

Telesco getting fired l probably set things in motion for you guys for that 'organizational alignment' Ben Johnson has on his checklist.

I keep seeing the Bears mainly being linked to veteran HC's instead now.

i’d imagine part of the draw is a true build in Ben Johnson’s vision and the time to make it happen.

i’m sure Caleb does attract Ben, but i wonder if Ryan Poles as GM there make it less attractive. and i heard from some radio station that he doesnt wanna have to go against the Lions 2x, seeing it as he helped build that up too.

with all that being said i’m still skeptical. nothing ever good happens to this franchise :lol

He wasn't lying at all when he said its not viewed as an attractive job around the league :lol

I know that stung Jerrah

I’m sure there’s an appeal of potentially being the guy that brings the Cowboys back to relevance. But having to deal with Jerry Jones and all the Cowboys theatrics likely take away from that.

Living out here the Cowboys are more like a brand living off all the past accolades and Americas team label. AT&T is more a tourist attraction for fans from out of state to go visit. Same with the star in frisco. But if you’re some kid born in the 90’s or later, the Cowboys have never been popping like that in your lifetime to where you can visibly remember it. That tradition doesn’t hold the same type of weight to some up and coming coach in their 30’s who grew up off the Tony Romo era. All that Cowboys history and luster doesn’t hold the same type of weight when they’ve been almost 30 years removed from any real success. I’m not even talking winning a Super Bowl at this point either.
