Went to Miami for Art Basel week, played a gig, and had a lot of fun, even linked up with the NTer Ca5per (DJ Killa Ka5).

UnDSed these, chopped it up with Trinidad James and Corey Shapiro:
Surprisingly, Trinidad James was very knowledgeable about sneakers, seemed a lot different than his music (makes me think he's trolling, like Lil' B and Riff Raff):
My girl wore her 2001 Bred 1's:
gotta admit, not many "sneakerheads" in NC, so it was nice to hang with some down there:

The great about the shoe market is capitalism runs deep. Dropping $1,500 or $2K or more for these is an individual's perogative. If someone else has the money wants to pay a huge premium, then more power to them.
I don't have a pair, but have a few friends who have copped them. I have tried them on, and they are comfortable, but can't fathom that much money. Even my friend, who landed 3 of them, admitted the hysteria was crazy. But when someone is willing to offer you $1800 cash for a pair of shoes that probably cost $20 to make, who wouldn't grab that opportunity and milk it when they can.
Maybe it's synonymous with Kanye West or perhaps because these are so hyped and trendy, that I feel embarassing wearing them. Whatever the case is, the shoe will spawn a #3...and people are already waiting in line.
