I remember a couple days after I received my shipment, I spoke to a Nike rep telling them my lacetips were "missing". Man, they weren't having it. They said "sorry, we can't do anything but give you a refund!". As for buying fakes and putting those lace tips on authentics. I dont think it works. Spoke to some reps of sites selling fakes. Gold lace tips only go with red laces and they can't be switched from lace to lace. So I think its just a one fit for those lace tips. Your only bet is some1 selling their lace tips on ebay.

i would think trading lace tips is an option as well. i didnt particularly care for the look with gold tips and liked the gun metal look. if i had a pair, id gladly trade away all my gold tips for the alternate colors. not only to have spares since i wouldnt use the gold ones, but i also think the platinum ones wouldve looked great on the solar reds.
speaking of fakes, i recall seeing one local craigslist ad actually charging like $10 to tell you where to buy fakes lol. *$#.

Unless you asked for help getting a pair and/or posted a slur or something derogatory, you should be okay. I like to call people out every now and then as they basically set themselves up, but it's still within guidelines...

My pair finally arrived today. I have a pretty long story on how I got them, but I'll try to make it short. On release day I had entered a few raffles but had no luck, of course. I got deterred a bit by all the talk of the midsole paint chipping, because I wanted the Plats initially, but wanted to eventually get both colorways. About a week and a half ago, I took a little trip out to San Manuel Casino, here in So. Cal. After being there for a good 30 minutes, I hit a .25 cent WOF Slot for 3600 quarters ($900.00). I was out!! My first thought was, if ever there was a time to buy these shoes, now was it... afterall the money pretty much fell into my lap. I also had some cash in my Paypal, so I began the search for the Solars, which I knew were more expensive. I still want the Plats, and will probably wait a bit to try for a pair of them... might just hit up the casino. LOL!
Anyways, got these for 1600... Im happy with the purchase and I'll be wearing them. Took a couple quick shots after charging them for like 5 minutes. These things glow like crazy. Pics are a bit grainy because of the low light.

They probably just want to weed out the replica stuff as I know the staff doesn't like to deal with them in anyway. Other than wanting a legit check, I think they just don't want them featured on here at all. It's understandable despite most to all are posting them more for awareness...
