Just grabbed Terre D'Hermes EDT for 80 at Marshalls in a gift set. It would always be a cart casualty for me but seeing it for that price i had to. Also grabbed the new bottle Candies mens for nostalgia reasons for 15$

I love it. Very mature scent. However my wife and mom hate it. You’re going to get a lot of mixed feedback.

I used to watch dude all the time during the start of the pandemic when I went on my deep dive into niche fragrances and trying to find higher quality fragrances that weren’t readily available and could work in the high heat

That’s how I got onto a few of the YouTubers

But once he started with the other shh heavy I stopped watching his vids.. I can’t blame him since he blew up off of it.. but I just wasn’t interested in that type of content

i tested it so many times off a strip n just hated it. but on the skin it feels much more complete if that makes sense. idk that i would call it the masterpiece people do but its a quality scent n i dont really have anything in the collection that smells quite like it

I first smelled it back in 2006 when I worked at a bank and one of my clients who was well off would wear it. I liked it because it was different than anything I had or had smelled up to that point. I was already into fragrances on a basic level but that’s the fragrance that eventually led me to start exploring niche. It’s been a wrap ever since.

These came in the other day. Spirit of Dubai Turath, Boadicea The Victorious Tobacco Sapphire, and YSL Babycat.

Was really looking forward to Tobacco Sapphire and on first impression, not feeling it too much. Gets better on the dry down but still nothing special. Babycat is cool, but the winner out the bunch Is Turath. Oud but sweet and doesn't wear too heavy on the skin. Wouldn't get a full bottle but I may get another decant after this one is done.

Also went to Olfactory NYC. Mrs surprised me with a trip there and I made a few custom fragrances. $85 for 50ml isn't bad and the process they take you thru to arrive at your scent of choosing is pretty cool. I would suggest to give them a look if you're in the area and curious.

I have about a dozen or so decants from them. Some are dope and are def bottle worthy, others are reminiscent of other fragrances that I have that are much cheaper, and the rest are just blah.

Regarding Boadicea, I stay away from all the colored bottles. The OG clear jawns and a few of the black/gold ones are it for me.

The shh is way too strong and instantly unenjoyable

ani and hacivat are own both and got for a steal price otherwise i wouldn't even recommend the 100ml. they last forever i am never going to finish them lol

I just bought Musk Therapy by Initio this weekend. Off the strip it smells simple but amazing in all honestly. Bal D'Afrique vibes kind of. this would make me fall in love if it was on a woman but i cant get the femininity out of my head when on skin now. been layering it with Terre D'Hermes to tone it down. been thinking of returning to get blessed barraka or something. Anyone with any experience on it?
