I ordered the white gums from ewingathletics and it was full of loose stitches and glue stains. Happened with the reds i got too.Thought they wouldve gotten qa better but maybe it's just my lousy luck.

You know, it's weird. I picked up the Royal 33 His last year after people said the quality issues from the first batch of Home Knicks and Reds were corrected. The Royals were great, no complaints at all.
Then when they dropped that limited NY Orange colorway online only, I ended up getting a pair and they didn't hold a candle to my Royals. Materials seemed cheaper, the overall build was off, and the padding in the back was noticeably different. It was strange to me because you'd think with a limited run, there would be more of a chance for quality control/better materials.
That grape/blue/yellow colorway of the Guards is F'ing ridiculous, in a good way. I doubt I'd actually wear them much, but that's a pretty well-done take on a new colorway in my opinion. They're tastefully executed, unlike countless Retro+ Js and the way Reebok butchered the Kamikaze II this year.

@mmelton2 interesting, I think they may be a "lifestyle/retro +" cw of some sort if that kinda makes sense? Because the I believe the og hi 33s were the knicks home/away & red/blk & blk/wht, correct me if im wrong, but also I couldn't see the other 2 because it's blocked

Here we go. I dont know why I didnt just do this to begin with. Is this not an OG pair? Looks the same to me, except the very bottom of this is black, where the new is purple. And of course the tongue is embroidered differently.

If you go back through the pages you'll see a lot of the og color ways of this shoe. They came in a crap load of dope colorways
