levels and/or curve, vibrance, white balance, black, select color, brightness and contrast, noise reduction (if grain is present). Those are bareessentials for me, but the list goes on...Originally Posted by shakaraka

Get a good tripod. Stability in the wind is useful - a little shake on the picture just knocks off the sharpness.
Have a think about what you want to be exposed properly and what will be shadow - you can't get everything even if there is lighting involved - if you expose for the dark stuff your highlights will get blown out. Basically expose so that the brightest part of the picture isn't overexposed.
Watch the white balance - artificial lighting can do funny things. I like to shoot raw and then tweak it afterwards - although the tungsten preset often isn't bad.
Keep the ISO low to reduce noise.
Get a little flashlight - I keep a solitair Maglite in my camera bag - really useful for checking settings.
If it's really dark a flash or even just a flashlight can do interesting things - you can add light to areas or change the color by using a gel or filter.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head. It's not that hard though - once you have your tripod stable and you've metered appropriately there's not much to go wrong.

nyrican23, clean integra up there. Is it yours? I saw one like that today, but in blue.
I really like your first shot as well. I think that if the tongue took up more space in the second photo that it may have come out better.
The poles in the third shot cut off the front of the car, so it's kind of ruins the shot IMO. I think that you should have gone on the other side where the poles wouldn't block the car and taken the picture. Also, if you turned your photo Portrait style for the last shot with a bigger aperture it would have come out better as well. I like the viewpoint being used though.
Just curious, what are you shooting with?
