So I went to the Smithsonian DC Airspace Museum and decided to take the baby (5D) and took more than a few pictures ..

Anyway I gotta question for you camera heads out there, is it worth the money to buy a hood for my lens or its just a waste of money?
Do they actually work or its just something you put on that makes you look like you know what your doing?

Lens hood help protect your lens from unwanted light. IMO yeah, it kinda makes you feel pro-%*@ but not really lol you're not gonna look pro with a smallhood on your 18-55 lens
