This thread is starting to get annoying, granted I know there are a lot of great photographers in here, and a lot of cats that have a genuine interest in photography that are looking for tips and pointers. But some of you dudes just going overboard with questions that can easily be found with a google search. Maybe its just me, but I only come to NT with a question as a last resort.

^^Unless you're wanting a film camera that doesn't exist... if you want a film camera under $100 I'd be happy to suggest any number of cameras you could find in near mint condition used for under $100.
This a photography thread not a snap shot thread. I wish people would realize that. There is a difference... I'd be happy to explain with examples from this post if people don't understand. No one can critique a picture of a #$@$@%! brick beyond stating the obvious. SELF EDIT. Every picture you take isn't good. MyTsharp hit the nail on the head. And I've said this before and I was a lot nicer and people didn't listen at all. And clearly there's nothing to prevent you from not listening this time but nonetheless I'm going to make it clearer. SELF EDIT. If you showed up to one my class critiques without editing out the dog !#!* photographs everyone takes you'd get laughed out of there. If you want to post every picture you take get a flicker and post the link, people will look if they want to see them. This post use to be my favorite thing on NT and now I #$@$@%! hate it. It's awful, its just bogged down and with dog !#!*. And I realize some of you have developed your skills with and without my help and truly enjoy looking at your work but some of you kill my soul with the loads of what amount to snap shots. SELF EDIT.
We are 2 pages away from people just snappin shots on their camera phones. And asking "Hey I just got a Sprint Mogul with a 2.0 mega pixel lens is this good? Or should I go with the iPhone?"
I'm pretty sure there are already a couple of pics from camera phones in here - I think I saw someone say something like 'hey, just snapped this on myphone...'
I've enjoyed this thread though - and I'm pretty sure my photography has improved through it - just by being challenged a little and also picking uptips from people.
The main thing I've changed though is through some of Ebay's comments - I take a lot less pictures. I now sometimes go out for a couple of hours andtake 2 pictures. But they are 2 pictures I am pleased with - I just take a lot more time over composition and looking for something worthy of a shot.
I still like to go out sometimes and take a bunch of shots and that's obviously the beauty of digital - but I read someone somewhere this week talkingabout pro photographers and the only difference between a lot of them and us is that they still take bad photos - they just never show anyone them.
And this could apply in this thread. I'd much rather people showed 1 or 2 shots from their trip our outing than 10 pretty mediocre or poor shots.
Doesn't sound like I'm the only one either.
Can you tell me what kind of camera you use please? My daughters club v-ball season is starting up and I bought a Nikon d40x and I would love to beable to take pics like this if possible. Thank you in advance for your answer.Originally Posted by I fLiPzKiCkZ I
