Official Photography Thread: Vol. ICan'tFindTheLastOne

f anyone wants to do it for me, by all means, go for it. Or if you could link me up with some tutorials, let me know......

Send me the raw file and I'll show you what I would do - jpegs give terrible results unless you make them from the original.

Send it to [email protected]

As stupid as it sounds (since I do have a DLSR), I don't shoot in RAW. Not sure why (I think its just cause I never put it on that setting) but when Itook that pic, it was a bunch of jpegs. I would send you the jpeg files but I didn't save the stitched version and to restitch it and send it via e-mailwould be virtually impossible since it was like 15 pics in one.

I am sure there will be another time the sky would look like this so I'll shoot it in Raw then.

And yeah, that is Embarcadero in SF.

Unless you bracketed it properly when taking jpegs then it won't work then.

You can do what the guys have already done but it never looks too good.

Yep. I haven't been advertising this but I found out by accident that if you just drop a raw file into photomatix you can make an HDR from that - it works pretty well - especially for things where the traditional way wouldn't work - e.g. moving objects.

Just drop it in and then go straight to tonemapping and you're done. IMO it works better than outputting the file as separate images and then combining those.

Thanks man, ill try that out.

Maybe if you make a thread in general about this you can get the attention of/convince the other member of this collaborative to spill the beans thisproject. Otherwise, i don't know, the .com www.shortypop.com does have an email([email protected]) posted that you can forward your comments, questions, and concerns to.

what camera do you use ?

Took my question. I would like to know too just out of couriosity because those are NICE pics Jua17oI3 and to think they were handheld... any postproc done?

Also... I know suggestions have been made on numerous occasions for a NT Team (*photos* or whatever suggessted names) BUT how about just creating a group inFlickr as well for NT'ers??? I mean... I looked it up on Flickr and there is a group name Niketalk but it was mainly shots of kicks... how about acreating new Flickr Group called Niketalk Photographers (for example)??? It can be a continuation to this thread but with easier browsingfunction, search, Q/A, FAQs, rules, (weekly, monthly) assignments (to make it fun while improving skills), tips, class, tutorials, etc. I dunno... just asuggestion.
