Already failed presidency.

Eggs round the way still expensive or non existent

I paid 8 bucks from some kraft singles cheese. The 16 slice joints. .50 cents a slice? Not in beyonces world that is happening

Orange turd needs to keep his promises. Or im coppin urban meadow cheese. Or them brick joints that are like foot long (pause) and weight 30 pounds

You need to get you some 1980s government cheese.

I'm bummed the president of Colombia gave in so soon. Now him and his cohorts think his tactics work and he'll double down and puff his chest out.

I get her stance. But sometimes you gotta put your nuts on the table and call his bluff. Coffee prices would hurt Americans. They'd be pissed tf off by Friday.

Basically Trump has agreed to not send people to Colombia wearing chains. It sounds like somebody realized that this was not the hill to die on tariff wise. People need their caffeine.

And with that said we end our first week of Trump….. just 207 more to go.

It's 2025 and you can just do stuff!

I guess I'm a venture capitalist now. I had spent years warning you all about capitalists, and apparently, I am one. I feel like all the guys who once tried to punch Kobe or who tried to hit him with a basketball. Apparently, if you threaten the king enough, he'll want you to be one of his soldiers.

In all seriousness, It's pretty limited. But yes, ya boy, he'll be doing econ consulting for VC.

Eventually, I'll be teaching again; but in the meanwhile, I'll be hunting for arbitrages. Coming back to academia with war stories and prizes, only strengthens one's hand. My beloved micro professor had jumped between academia and the private sector many times and he had some great stories in his back pocket by the time I was his student.

Considering the students I'll be facing in the coming years, I should probably teach my classes shirtless, preferably with tattoos of all sorts.

If you gather enough of your ******* stories into a book you could become the economics version of Richard Feynman! Then Gen Z will respect you no matter what.

You can not like Trump or not but the Colombia thing is a win.

What’s the win?

The dummy just learned he couldn’t strong arm Colombia and that whomever couldn’t spell the country correctly.. in the end Colombia did what they normally do outside of the dummy

Americans are complaining about gas and eggs.. imagine if the price of coffee goes up significantly.. and this is starting with the beans, so all dominoes start to fall

There is a reason you got all these coffee houses all over the place on top of the various coffee machines/makers

I do my morning espresso and that’s me to try not to be overly reliant on coffee and avoiding headaches if I can’t have that constant kick of caffeine.. but you got people who can’t get through their days without at least 2 cups of coffee or more like 3-4.. you wanna see people get irritable and ornery, start messing with their caffeine consumption

Don't think they wanted a battle, just some grace and decency.

As someone who doesn't consume coffee I wanted the prices to jump like milk and eggs word to aepps20 aepps20

I want the stupidity to become as obvious as possible, especially to these little things that make it painfully obvious

They did what they normally do.. but they just wanted the US to go about it in the usual diplomatic method, which don’t seem hard.. but the dummy & co can’t even take the time to make sure the country is spelt correctly and it’s not the university
