If Saleh doesn’t choose the 49ers, it would speak volumes and would tell me A WHOLE LOT about whether or not top coaching candidates want to play for Kontrol Freak Kyle.

Let’s hope Saleh still has confidence in coaching for Kyle. If not, we are royally screwed with Staley

If Saleh turns down the 49ers’ DC position, i doubt it has anything to do with kyle and everything to do with getting a shot at being a HC again. Especially with the way the jets scapegoated him.

Unless the 49ers make him a ridiculous lucrative contract, if a team is offering you an opportunity to be a HC, you take it instead of waiting for something better down the line.

He's either going to find a HC job with a newly hired GM or he'll become a DC for 1-2 years for someone and then take over as a HC.

If we’re serious about hiring Pete Carroll, I wouldn’t mind him being the special teams coordinator. I always hated watching how successful his ST trick plays unfolded but id love it if it worked to our favor.

Pete was the 9ers DC for a couple of seasons in the 90s but never won a Lombardi with SF.

I think it could be just enough motivation for Uncle Pete to come on board and help out lil nephew.

Who knows maybe even Mike Shanahan can come on board too, and reunite with the Lynch and McCaffery families.
