:lol btw hyper being hyper and the kap news, this thread is all over the place

REGULAR SEASON NEEDS TO START ALREADY

Offseason was actually going decently well IMO until the debacle that was the game vs the Packers and the Kaepernick anthem incident. The team went from trying to quietly rebuild to plastered all over the national media REAL QUICK!

Arik Armstead says he should be ready for week 1, but might need surgery after the season.

We can't catch a ******* break.

yes

starters typically don't play the final game of the preseason, and gabbert will not be active for this game.

Do you guys think Chip has already made his decision at QB

He said he hasn't, but for the most part I think he has,Gabbert will be the starter the first game. I do still think Kaep will see some playing time during the year though.

There wasn't any evidence of anyone taking the job from Gabbert. His TD drive last game showed what the offense can do when it is executed. That drive looked effortless.

Kap on the other hand showed zero evidence of competing. I hope Driskel keeps improving. We def need a competent backup.

Exactly. Gabbert is no world beater by any means, but the offense is functional when he's in. They've resembled a chip kelly offense, and moved the ball down the field in every game.

When kap was in, I couldn't tel if it was a chip Kelly offense or geep chryst offense. It looked identical to what we've seen the last couple seasons.

Yea. I just dont get why when people say Gabbert is the starter, they result to the answer that he "isn't the answer/savior". I dont believe anyone thinks that, but at the moment he is our best option.

I am concerned a bit with Driskel looking like the only backup. Things can get nasty. As much as I would love a high pick this year due to us sucking, I want to win. The offense looks light years ahead (word to Lacob) compared to last year lol. The defense looks solid so far thanks to that front. Im excited fellas. :smokin

^ Those are the people that just can't come to terms that the QB situation here is less than favorable and there is some form of rebuild happening here. IMO, if we win 8 games this year it will be considered a relative success/overachievement

Cant judge Kap based off of what was it 13 snaps? 6 passing attempts? Wouldn't even judge Gabbert off of that either. Would like to see Kap play 3 QTs tomorrow (even tho it prob wont happen). Surprised they haven't named Gabbert as the started yet because its pretty much looking like that.

Also, really hope that Armstead's shoulder holds up the whole season. That sucks man..was really excited for the twin towers this year :\

You're right, but he looked identical to how he has looked the last few seasons. At some point, you become delusional expecting for something to change. We've long passed that point.

I expect the Chargers to dial up the pressure. Expect an assault of blitzes coming Kaps way.

Ya that Packer defense sure had those blitzes dialed up on Kap last week lol.

Wanna see Cajuste ball a little too. Heard a lot about him but haven't really seen much from him.

1.  An anonymous source in the NFL, aka some snitch, has spoken with 8 team's GM's and owners, 7 of the 8 teams said they want nothing to do with Kaep after the anthem incident, and said snitch postulates it is unlikely that any team will pick Kaep up if cut or be willing to trade for Kaepernick. One unnamed GM went so far as to call Kaep "Unamerican". Lastly the snitch has indicated that if Kaepernick plays well in preseason gmae 4 the 49ers front office may consider keeping him as a backup QB and/or hope he can retake the starting QB position later during the regular season.

2. The same source says that Kaepernick is actively "aware" of the situation and is planning for an immediate career change to one focusing on "social justice" if he is cut.

3. As down as I am for James Jones to come play for the 49ers it would leave me scratching my head even further as to why we let Boldin walk, which of course was an enormous error. I know the plan was to "get younger" and "develop some of our players" but none of our WRs developed whatsoever, and with Ellington out for the season we're actually even worse off than we were at the start of the preseason. It would be pretty hypocritical to let Boldin walk because we're "getting younger", and then sign 32 year old free agent James Jones.

i heard they put kaep in the same category as ray carruth. You got people out there killing people, plotting murders, domestic violence, taking illegal drugs. And kaep is a villain? Not standing for the Anthem isn't illegal.

Rodney Harris went in on Kaep lmao "he's not even black", Harris WILDING out

Sounds like Harrison might be a fellow sneakerhead, though, if he walking into Footlocker with $3,000 cash in his pocket, he probably just trying to backdoor them banned 1's anyway

I'm pinning Aldon Smith and Kaep downfall on Nessa. The power of the P :{

Kaep's whole social media persona changed once he got with her, even went vegan. Went from posting about shoes, workouts, to...8o
