They got scared. They knew what Rodgers was about to do. Whole world knew even with no time outs and 37 seconds he was gonna heave the ball down field into Fg range or for a Hail Mary touchdown.

Probably should have rushed them harder but then there would be blame if they hadblitzed and gotten burned by a quick release or a screen or a scramble

But it’s obvious the 49ers need a new starting strength CB desperately
