We drafted two last year and still scraped the bottom of the barrel for running backs last season.

Couple reasons I would think is because we lost Mostert and didn’t address a RB in free agency. Sermon isn’t a reliable backup to Mitchell. Wilson and Hasty both bring different things but injuries have hampered them. Another reason which I think is more believable is that management does believe putting Deebo in the backfield has rubbed him off the wrong way and this shows Deebo that we are committed to putting running backs out there and not Deebo.

We did about as good as we could. They dropped the ball in terms of dealing Jimmy, nobody's taking his current contract when there's a strong possibility we're gonna cut him. I believe Washington or Indy would have took him if not for the surgery.
