Back with more jerseys from collection over the years as promised, and a few comments as well.
all those members giving a heads up to Ross, good job. I went today to 4 in my area, and found many of the same ones as mentioned the last days, i.e., Mexico H and A, Spain H and A, Germany H, sizes M, XL, XXL...however, unfortunately for me this morning some other happy shoppers/collectors grabbed the MEX/GER off the racks literally as I just entered the store and saw these in the "Active Tops" section. Supplies as we speak are looking minimal, for now...maybe those guys read this Forum or something like this one...I myself would have very much wanted any Germany/Argentina, but as the saying goes ya snooze, ya lose...good bargain for 20 bucks but I really can't use stuff like 2014 Spain for example. I would guess the employees would pick up many of the jerseys for themselves before even putting them on the floor for sale, but again just speculating.
2013 USA GK shorts Player Issue Green
My auction seller source did not make good with deal for the matching jersey, so anyone here that can point me in the right direction to get the matching jersey in adult XL, I would greatly appreciate it.
Germany jerseys, shorts, socks, shirts, jackets, pants, suits, etc...
Just some of the pieces I have, much much more locked away in a storage unit...Germany dispatched host nation Brazil in yesterday's 2014 WC semifinal in a manner that no one would have expected....frankly, ever since the protests by the inhabitants of Brazil against the WC instead in favor for spending on local education, health care, etc., I knew for certain that Brazil soccer in this tournament was doomed, so to speak, set up for failure...this would always now be a lose-lose proposition/scenario. Thus, hypothetically speaking, if Brazil loses in the tournament, which did indeed happen, then the answer is straightforward/self-explanatory. But much money was made in the local economies of Brazil, right? Yes, but likely even more so for FIFA, which does the lowly citizens of Brazil very little good...But even if the Brazil team were to have lifted the Cup at home, it still would be perhaps viewed in a negative manner, maybe in a way "showing up" the lowly citizens as if to say, "see, after all this spending on soccer we won the tournament for the people...we can all be happy...", when truly in their hearts the people wanted other things considered more important than soccer. Maybe I didn't explain it well in words here, but I'm sure most of you reading this know what I mean. Anyway, just something to think about that sports are important for many people, but not everybody, and at what cost, and to what extent...
Anyway, as it stands now in the WC, will this be Messi's cup to win to attain that one missing puzzle piece for his career achievements and put him without a doubt right next to if not above Maradona? Or will this be Germany's turn to win the cup after many years since 1990 and many 2nd/3rd place finishes in WC's since. Or can Holland win their first WC, against all odds, on South American soil?...soccer fans stay tuned for the conclusion of this story-book ending to 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil...
