I don't think Eli is elite but at least my man has won two SBs. I can live with hearing him called elite than Joe Flacco. Son has had a great team every year he's been in the NFL. He's had some good games but let's be serious, son is FAR from elite. Hasn't even thrown a ball in the SB and they're bringing up elite???

If Flacco is garbage and he's in the Super Bowl while the elite QBs are all sitting at home or fishing right now, you can keep the elite label.

Every single one of these "elite" QBs has gotten smacked in the mouth in the postseason multiple times. Why? Because football is a team game and that's what we should be focused on. I'm tired of this worship of individual players. It's not the NBA, Brady isn't Lebron.

You see this in the media.. they act like every game is a prizefight between QBs and skip any type of analysis and just choose the team with the more "elite" QB. Phil Simms actually said in the AFCCG pregame that he's picking NE because he thinks Brady (and Belichick) is "tired of losing" and wants it more. Sadly that same type of idiotic thinking trickles down to the fans, no one understands what football is really about anymore.

unfortunately it's social media, podcasts, message boards, etc....ESPN just feeds into it since its the sexy thing to do. People worrying about top 5's or top 10s that change with each passing week because everyone wants to be a prisoner of the moment. I just try to focus on watching and enjoying the game for what it is.

Ravens have had a middle of the pack defense statistically, but once the playoffs started a ton of guys have come back.

They allow a lot of yards on the ground but they've been hitting hard like the old Ravens teams....don't see this being high scoring at all.

Well, they still dont have great CBs. They're also ver old to be chasing a guy like Kapernick around. You could be right though. I see a special teams gaffe by San Fran that leads to a score

agree with everything you said here, this elite talk is so stupid. Flacco plays very well as an individual in the postseason, I'd take that over meaningless regular season numbers any day

Matt ryan was picking apart the 49ers defense. If they let flaco cook I like the Ravens in this one. After seeing the Ravens stop Manning and Brady I dont think there is no way Kaep is going to put up big passing yards. The only thing that worries me is Rice fumbles the ball alot... Im really surprised that according to Vegas the Ravens are underdogs
