I don't know the specific names for individual states' Tax boards, mainly because i'm California, but Cali's is the Franchise Tax Board. To check the status for Cali state refund that link is here. And your State should have their own somewhere. obviously doesn't apply to those without state tax like NV or TX

Standard deduction increases by $1500 equating to $29200 for MFJ.

Unless you’re talking about the actual brackets because they move slightly every year. For ‘24 it’s going up by a few thousand. Rates of 10, 12, 22% etc stay the same

Fwiw an extension is for the deadline to file, not pay

Can I amend a return on TurboTax if I filed it with them? Just realized nobody claimed my daughter for years.

Amending may cost you but then again that’s how they get you.

If the amend is something on their part they did wrong, then it should be free, but if it’s you and forgetting you have a child then they’ll charge you something
