I love Step Up, only really heard one song from Dej but she killed it with the Brandy I wanna be down hook Lol.

Listened to 2.5 this morning and its better than 2, but still not impressed. Doesn't live up to the hype that Game built IMO.

After finally giving it a good amount of spins Doc 2 is freaking great. Hashtags and 100 are the only songs I consider skipping. Jelly Roll doing his best Lil' John impression is just whatever and as much as I've tried to like it, 100 is just really boring. Those two could have made something so much better. I still haven't given 2.5 enough of a listen, but there's definitely bangers on there too. But for now 2 lives up to the hype.

I know those numbers are good for being independent

He racks in most of those profits

But for being "The Game," they are severely underwhelming.

It doesn't matter to me, I'm just saying for his standards whether he tells the truth or not I'm sure he was hoping for more. He got outsold by Fetty Wap, and he has millions more people in his fan base.

Just didn't get that support tbh.

Albums don't sell like they used to. You can illegally get to them so easily now and plus there's so many different streaming apps.

2.5 might do less than half. Went to Best Buy and Target to buy it. Best Buy only got four in and they were sold already. Target didn't even get them. Amazon wants $18.

I know albums don't sell like they used to lol
I think in 2015 we all know that bro

But they still sell.
Future and Drake sold half a million in a week with a mixtape.

Cole and Kendrick did 300k first week

I'm not comparing game to these guys. Different demographic. Different fans. Different music.

I'm just saying, hip hop can still sell even in today's market.

Fetty Wap sold 100k albums not including streams.

Game sold 90 WITH streams included.

Spin it how you want, for as big as games fan base is, and as much star power he has on his tracks and with his production, I bet you anything deep down inside he is disappointed in those numbers.

He put way too much time effort and money into this project for 90k including streams.

Again, I don't give a ****. I love the music, that's All that matters. But if you consider all circumstances, these numbers ain't that impressive even for being "indie."

Ice cubes indie *** did 100 with his last album and he ain't even buzzin in this last decade :lol

It helps that Fetty Wap had 4 singles, including 3 in the top 10 :lol. That's actually both :smokin and :x :x

So how much did you expect or do you think would have been a good amount for him?

Personally, I expected around 80K.

Didn't Drake and Future sell around 330K their first week? Then had one of the biggest drop offs in rap history their second week.

You tripping lol. Fetty sold 75k (pure sales). Do you realize he's had 4 of the BIGGEST SINGLES this year? Game doesn't get radio spins. Labels are all behind that stuff. 81k is GREAT OF INDIE and 95k with steams. You compare him to the 3 biggest starts in rap with labels begin them (Drake, Cole and Kendrick)

And Ice Cube's last independent album sold 22K. I thought you were referring to Raw Footage, but even that one sold 70K.

You guys a funny lol

Okay guys, Game hit a home run.
I'm sure he's genuinely happy and satisfied with those numbers.

I'll drop it [emoji]128077[/emoji][emoji]127997[/emoji]

He's making damn near all the profit being independent. Believe me he won. And as far as getting it, 2.5 they seemed to have shipped out less copies than 2.0. My Best Buy only had 2 copies and I bought both of them because my boy needed me to pick him up a copy, but luckily still only $8.99. So $18 for two CDs in two weeks and both discs are pretty damn incredible. It's a win in my book.

I already mentioned he's indie and he's profiting heavily, financially he's always winning.

That was addressed in my post multiple times. That wasn't the point.

But it's all good, we can move on fellas.
I'm just happy we got all this music from him.
