Fans need to take a breath, and chill. They have not read the script. Our team is working closely with one of the original creators of Ninja Turtles to help expand and give a more complex back story. Relax, we are including everything that made you become fans in the first place. We are just building a richer world.

But Hollywood seems to do that a lot; take a small factor that seems insgnificant to them and change it (this seems to show that Hollywood doesn't actually take the time to see what the themes of the original are), while the theme they leave out or change is actually quite pivotal to the story. Another example is for instance having the upcoming live action Akira movie be set in "Neo Manhattan"obviously they have not understood that having Akira take place anywhere other that Tokio (ok, let's say Japan) undermines the whole story, same goes for changing the turtles from mutants to aliens.
