Official Toronto - Outlet and Store report

Did anyone hit up the 41KIX opening in the Get Fresh Company store on Queen Street today?  I'm wondering if they are going to be a legit consignment shop or just  re-sellers with a retail spot.

Lol heard the had Blk/varsity red 6's since the 1st guy in the Svp lineup hiding his face is the so called owner of 41kix. My guess is it's just resellers at a retail store! But Get Fresh use to be a spot that sold early releases/ fakes! Sorry I can't support that! Let's be real who's doin legit cheaks on the shoes they are selling?

I kind of figured that the same familiar faces at the front of every line would eventually need to rely on some other method of getting their money out besides Kijiji. Maybe they will start putting the 41KIX logo on the back of their camping chairs to use as an advertising expense for their taxes. We all know they will pay taxes like a legit business now, right?

Too bad. It would be nice to have a legit consignment shop here where some older stuff could actually be bought/sold without having to meet up at malls or coffee shops etc. Maybe they will prove us wrong but I doubt it.

They're operating as a consignment store/reseller store (similar to the Consignment store model you see in the states) inside of Get Fresh, but the prices there.......well it can be better

Big ups to stelinelli, who was able to grab details AND inspirations in size 13 for me on Friday. If anyone is going tomorrow or comes across the Maestro (all-star) elite 9s, they're the only widely released ones I need to complete my Kobe rainbow! Help a brother out if you can. Also, going to Buffalo outlet mall this week, so PM me if you want me to look out for anything. Hopefully it's better than Michigan!

I agree with you @Gruppo it would be nice to have a Cosignment shop in the city like North Trooper was! That being said looks like it was just a weekend thing!

Was just checking the Footlocker Instagram to see what HOH Square 1 was dropping tomorrow and read this comment:

torontocoldYo House of Hoops / footlocker.. Get the fk outta here with letting ghost chairs reserve spots in line for shoes during these release dates.. Stop letting resellers ruin the game and take charge .. Review your practices and you'll gain some real legitimacy in the sneaker world.. #canadagotsole #whackness#weak

After reading through additional comments it sounds like the same group of people have been first in line every day and no one from Footlocker/HOH or others in line have removed any chairs or even called them on it. Can anyone that has been there confirm/deny that this is how things are happening there as far as the line up goes?

I wasn't even planning to go but if this is true and that's how HOH are going to operate moving forward I will never be a customer there. What's the point?

There's 40 pairs of Yeezys and everything else is like 15 -20 pairs
You can't Confirm that is was posted by a random kid saying he asked??? I could go on the FB page and say hes full of **** i also asked the Manager and its like 10 pairs? and regardless line up is still like 40 deep of random people and Ghost Chairs.

Repped for the info and my time saved not going there.

From what I have heard its the same Group (same resellers as always) What I find funny is one of the guys Baited himself out he was in the Pic that SVP Queen posted last Night on IG and he was at HOH SQ1 this Morning he picked up the Toro 6's and then made it back down to Svp to get his pair of Blk/Red 6's. My dude was in the line up at HOH at 4am and was like WTF how thios clown in the front of the line? Its funny when HOH started in Canada it was supported by alot of people.  All those people that supported it in the begining now have other feelings about how the Operate and what they do!

All anyone can do is just not give-in and cave to resellers. Foot Locker doesn't care about who buys their stuff(and they shouldn't really be expected to, they want to move product, not protect the integrity of the sneaker scene).

Niche places like Capsule can afford to be more selective and take at least some measures to make life easier for the people that actually care about wearing the sneakers(like the way they handled the Tiffany's and other SB releases in the past) because the product will sell out regardless and any stance against resellers will endear the sneaker community to these types of Mom & Pop stores, even if the prices and accessibility aren't comparable.

I just shake my head at where this has all lead us to. Reselling sneakers people actually want is bad enough, but people are trying to sell pairs of AJ 10 "Bobcats" for $300+, along with a slew of garbage printed Foamposits, and other unsellable releases. Complete madness. Have some dignity. Bad enough seeing Concord Lows for $380, but man some of the crap people are trying to move in order to pull-in a modest profit just blows my mind.

I personally don't mind chairs being there if ur sitting in ur car beside the chair. A 15 minute break to grab some food/take a piss is cool too once in a while. But I think it's out of hand how some ppl put a chair there then disappear for 4 hours then come back with 3 sisters and say they were all in line

I agree. If you leave a chair there! and you leave for the washroom or for food. but leave and bring more people back SMH

Repped.

Put an order through.

But I wonder if the ES store or the Nike Store at Eaton Centre, FL etc are gonna get a restock ?

thing is always 50/50....u take a chance they might restock here in Toronto and pass on the nikestore link

or grab them for sure from the link and end up paying about the same when its all said and done due to getting taxed on CDN retail compared to USD conversion to CDN

Just resellers with a retail spot.

Facebook groups are all wild. the way you guys are describing the resellers i already know who they are. there's 3 brother's that work together and just buy the **** to resell

Terrible, just terrible.

whoever said to just give in to resellers DON'T. As a community, we need to stand up and speak out on this.

A sneaker head I met told me about some pair of 1's he wanted to buy and it was the last pair and this kid behind him was balling his eyes out (literally crying) so the guy let the kid have it.

I was in line to get a pair of shoes and they had a 12 and 13 (my size). The guy behind me was a 13 and couldn't downsize where as I could. So I told him I'll take the 12 you get the 13.

I'm sure all of you have similar stories. There is still good left in this community, we just need to be more vocal about it. These guys may hide their faces but we know what's up and sooner or later they will be exposed and move on.

Simply put: Don't support resellers/consignments who gouge.

Good to see people were able to walk into HOH SQ1 yesterday morning and pick up those Concord lows.
