Nah chief, you don't just get to take your ball and run home. You hijacked this thread, now take the smoke that comes along with it. It's your lack of objective thinking that I can't stand. This "man" continues to exhibit very questionable behavior, but people like you continue to give him a pass because you agree with his stance on pan-africanism. Perhaps it is you who doesn't understand the black world outside of your limited thinking.

You want some attention huh?

If you genuinely believe I'm not actually black you are much more delusional than I thought.

You get the same notification because your blind loyalty to a man who doesn't give a rat's kidney stone about you is laughably embarrassing

I was born in Liberia. The ancestors on my dad's side went back to Liberia and my mom's side or native Liberians.

You don't need to lecture me about Pan-Africanism. We're laughing because we don't agree with Dr. Umar. I don't think anyone in here ever said a negative word about the concept of Pan-Africanism. We have issues with Umar being a conspiracy theory spewing, scammer, liar nd a hypocrite. Stop conflating our argument.

Couple dudes in here have said “you know I don’t really mess with Umar like that, but he be stressing and discussing some great points”

I’m cool with that and love to debate.

while the rest of y’all

“lol Umar, hahaha donations, rotfl pan-Africanism, omg haha black power”

I can’t deal man. I just can’t

If black people are truly doomed it’s not because they reject Umar Johnson, the man. Black people, especially African Americans, are more
Educated, more connected, and more Civically engaged than we’ve been in a long time. Especially the 20 something to 40 something age range. I don’t even have to question his intentions at this point because the target audience he goes after via social media and entertainment outlets are low information low engagement audiences. Hes also relying on that same low engagement audience to raise money to fund all his projects and plans. To take it a Step further, he went on the breakfast club and got millions of views on YouTube, and yet all that ad revenue went straight to a white controlled media conglomerate. As oppose to making and taking his own audience to a place where he can generate revenue for his own cause. Umar May have the best intentions in the world, and he may be “the best speaker” but he doesn’t behave like someone who has a strategy to get things done . Which makes me question whether he prioritizes being the “prince of pan africanism” over accomplishing the goals he says he wants to accomplish. This is why I’ve been saying since day one, Umar needs a team around him cause he’s not effectively navigating these spaces.

and I think anyone who’s even semi conscious about how systems are built and changed can see that. Which is why Most people who do pay attention to the state of black people and care about it don’t take him seriously.

I never thought you did And 9/10 I completely get where you’re coming from. I think one thing Umar is really good at is getting people emotionally tied to his words. I’m some cases that’s good, in some it’s not. But I’m not making an emotional argument. When it comes to the future of black people I only think in terms of power and systems and how you can make success predictable and repeatable. African Americans have annual spending power of 1.2 trillion. That’s more than GDP of entire countries. That’s only gonna be utilized to our benefit when a system can be built around it. Same goes for other assets like our time, our votes, And our labor/academic/entertainment skills. As much as I agree with him on many very fundamental tenants when ever Umar speaks out side of child psychology and educating children, he says things that are very anti system building, and to be honest I don’t even think he has enough foresight to see it. Some of it is ego, some of it is him really not having experts on his platform to defer to and to advise him. and because of that he gets criticized and then he reacts more and more to the backlash and says even more stuff he shouldn’t. It’s a vicious cycle.
