**Official USMNT Soccer Thread**

What a terrible game for Aron Jóhannsson. His spot at the World Cup is not looking too good right now.

:lol he's not gonna start in Brazil but c'mon now. Dude is basically a lock in the 23. Our depth is looking great right now.

The US was foolish for not hiring Klinnsy the first time just before Bradley was hired. We could've been a lot further along now. I still laugh at all the criticism JK got early on. He's turned our players loose by really putting the screws to them not just challenging them but demanding them to perform for their club team, which has really paid dividends.

He's upped the team's pace & improved the tactical nature of our team too. No longer do we see the constant hit & run counters from the Arena & Bradley teams. JK has gotten everyone, I mean everyone play at a top level.

Hope Klinsy stays on for another cycle after this tbh then after that he can serve as technical director :lol

As long as we aren't in a group of death then I feel like we should advance out of any group and maybe make some noise depending on matchups...anything less would be a disappointment. I kinda want Ghana again but I'm rooting for Bob and Egypt to get through to the WC

I'm guessing you ate a bunch of KC BBQ...

LyonBC1 - Although it would be unprecedented, I hope Klinssy is extended through the 2018 WC. He's brought the program along further than anyone else has. In the interim, he & the program should groom the next coach then bump Klinnsy to a leadership role within the program.

The one thing that we need to make sure we're doing though as a country is developing game more at youth levels. US soccer needs to make sure the framework they have is a model for success in growing the program & sport that will cultivate our youth.

JK deserves every ounce of credit he's getting especially considering the early criticism but we also have better players now.

Jozy, Mikey, EJ, have grown astronomically since Bob's tenure.

Fabian, Jones, Besler, Zusi all quality players, obviously the current depth and youngsters too.

Bob and to a lesser extent Bruce will forever be criticized but they did OK to very good with what they had. Different eras.

Ticos vs. El Tri

it will be a good one.

Let's get these 3pts in Panama City and leave the Hex on a high note.

Jozy is wearing the armband tonight.

Let's GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

:hat

Did I see correctly that if we lose to panama and CR beat Mexico by 2 goals then they can force Mexico into the playoff or even not qualifying? Cuz if so.....:lol but still I want to get the W even with mostly backups and newcomers

Love the move to make Jozy captain good bit of positive reinforcement and a challenge for him as he goes back to sunderland :hat

Even though im a big usa fan, im still mexican and i dont want to see mexico go down like this. Lets go usa get the tie or win.

Man, these young guys don't know how to make runs off ball, also not a lot of creativity in the midfield from the US...

Mannnn how ironic is this El Tri need is to score to get them in the WC :lol from glancing up at telemundo CR could've had a couple more...the drama is :eek :eek

ARON!!! :hat Mexico celebrating the loss like they won a tourney is funny they better build statues for ZUSI :rollin

Feel awful for panama though, they battled should've faked more injuries , srs
