@ only wanting players who were born and raised in the US
Even teams like Spain are taking players like Diego Costa who was born and Grew Up in Brazil.
Messi plays for Argentina even though he's been in Spain since he was a little kid basically.
It's not that black and white. Every country does it.
And furthermore, the US is a melting pot of cultures and different backgrounds. It's entirely American to have a squad that consists of players from different areas of the world.
And then there's the youth academies. If you want the US to become great, that means more kids leaving the US at a young age to go play for youth academies in Europe and elsewhere because the US doesn't have that. So if a US born kid goes to La Masia at age 9 you don't want them playing for the NT later on?
