I don't know why people are surprised that Altidore and the rest of the forwards didn't score any goals. The way
the US tries to use Altidore as a hold up player is ridiculous. They continually play in 40-60 yd long ball attempts, expect him to control
it with like 2 or 3 dudes surrounding him, then lay it off to Dempsey, Donovan, or Bradley. We called that "boom ball" back in
the day when I played U-10 club soccer. That being said Jozy had a few balls he should have finished in this world cup & he has
got to improve on finishing.
Jozy was clearly at his best when going at defenders with the ball at his feet or at least that's what it seemed like to me. So why
they wouldn't play more balls into space on the ground so he could run onto it or passes to his feet so he could do that
makes me think that it's tactical.
How can everybody else see what the coaching staff can't see. Ricardo Clark (neither does Findlay) belongs nowhere near the
starting lineup, people have been saying this for what seems the past 2+ years. But oh because Bradley has refused
to try other combinations in the middle of the park in an attempt to help out the flow of the game, the team has no clue how to play with
someone like Torres in there. They start every game on their heels which leads to them getting scored on so early in over half of their
games.
It is time for Bradley to move on. The US simply can't continue to hope for goals off of set plays and long balls from 60 yds out.
