So, is a the 4nine the new "it" mod to have right now?

It's nice, small even with a big battery.
I think the "it" mod though is the Manhattan by ameravape.
There's this big thing that went down with them and the person who machined them so he took what he had left and engraved them with a "FU" instead of their initials. I've seen clones online and I might pull the trigger on one, but I still want an authentic since it's labeled a competition mod and they're going to stop making them because of the cloning supposedly.
The thing with mech mods tho, is that they're not hard to clone and if you look around there's companies who make them spot on to the original. Hcigar makes like the best nemesis clone (I got the brass one after reviews) and they hit just as hard as the original.

since i have discovered vaping and quit smoking in June, I have spent a lot of time in those forums (and $ on that instead of kicks haha).  here is some of my stuff:

i also had my Caesura Mod top cap and switch assembly plated, and the the 18650 tube refinished by JoJo at J's Plating.  He did a great job, but I'm selling this mod,

I have a GP Paps 18650, SMPL 18650 and Zombi 18650 on order, and will post photos of those when they arrive.

mod collecting is like sneaker collecting in the sense that they both have a thriving second hand market, which is nice.  gives you a chance to try stuff out to find what you like best.

Which gauge of wire is better at producing below 0.3 - 0.15 ohms of resistance? Currently using a 28 Kanthal A1 wire, but i feel like i'm still not getting the vapor production that i want. I've tried doing dual parallel coils with 5 wraps, and i'm still not satisfied. Will 26 gauge wire work better? Thanks in advance!

i was heavy smoker, so i need at least one backup.  plus I travel for work a lot, and it helps to have backups of things in general on the road.  beyond that, it isn't necessary at all!  just a hobby, really.  plus an addiction lol.  some would say 'why have have all those shoes?'  but we know that they are wrong and don't get it.  haha

 Hello!  You will get the same resistance regardless of the gauge of wire that you use.  higher gauge wire, which means the wire is physically thinner, will give you MORE residence.   Thicker wire (lower gauge) equals LESS resistance.   The more wire that you use (in length), the more resistance you will get in both cases.  You can use less high gauge wire than you can of lower gauge wire because of this.  5 wraps of 22 gauge may only equal 2 wraps of 28 gauge in terms of resistance.

So basically, wire gauge may not be your problem, as your resistance sounds pretty low to begin with (dual parallel coils effectively cut your total resistance in half).  Do you have an ohm reader?   You may not need new wire. It sounds like you may need more air getting to your coils.  What atomizer are you using, and how big are the air holes?  What are you using for a wick? Can you post a photo of your atomizer and build?  I can probably help you better that way.

The benefit of using lower gauge wire is that the vapor tends to be a little thicker, and the coils will last longer,  but any gauge wire at low resistance will make really good vapor.  The rest is up to the wicking and airflow.  

If you do decide to get lower gauge wire, remember you will have to use more of it than you did with higher gauge to get the same resistance.

Been hearing so much positive things about the Apex vape pen. People that are expert stoners are saying its like doing a dab every time and the battery last for 4 days. Costs $90 so i'll prob pick it up if nothing else earth-shattering comes out.

What's the obsession of the GP PAPS,

well, i just got mine yesterday, and i have noticed the machining is the best that i have seen on a mech mod.  i own 5 other American authentics and the GP seems better made than all of them, to be honest.  the switch throw is great also, but it is more that the threading, materials and finish are really in class by themselves.  the locking ring is very nice and hasn't gotten stuck on me.  Also, the company is known for provide excellent customer service, and they offer replacement parts which are readily available.  This has to do with the fact that they are a more established company than a lot of their American counterparts.  I love supporting American companies, but in many cases the customer service is just not there, especially with Aethertech and Surefire Vapor.  Element mods provides good service, but their mods are kinds soso with regard to performance.  Although they are robust.  I hope that this help.  Also, a lot more infer in the e-cig forum...
