I've noticed that too...and thats why I've been jaded towards Kanye for the past few years.
This dude went from conscious Ye to some ignorant ****...
I can't agree with this. His last project was WTT which had New Day, No Church, Made It In America etc. How is that not conscious?

Y'all are forgetting a couple years ago, he went on stage and disrespected someone half his age whom he had no prior beef with, and was America's sweetheart at the time, and a year-2 years later he still went platinum with both albums he's released since then and managed to have his 250 dollar shoes sell out in seconds across the country and online.
Ye once said something like alot of times they'll be in Paris listening to Jeezy. He wants something of his own that gives him that feeling.

I never came to Kanye for Mos/Talib type rhymes. I came for dope beats, mixed with egotistical raps and the occasional social commentary, and we gonna get that with Cruel Summer.

'when he came in the game he made his own lane' IMDTF was pretty good..I didn't like many of his raps on WTT at all....I just feel like he's losing touch.
It aint hard to tell..you can hear him talk about it in all his music...the artist he was versus the artist he would become...post-fame...you know Ye was never writing all his raps in the first place...thats what it is...he's in a new place..
obviously when your not struggling your not gonna make struggle music anymore....I just feel like he's lost a lot of his creativity...nothing last forever...hopefully he proves me wrong...but I don't get inspired by Kanye anymore.

But come on now, 808s was definitely out of the norm when comparing it to CD, LR, and Graduation. But we all knew what 'Ye was going through around that time. I respected the fact that he was willing to put that chapter of his life in an album. That was some deep stuff.
As for 'Ye spitting ignorant verses. It wasn't THAT long ago, but how about Gorgeous? Goddamn that verse went hard!
