I'm calling fake because the stitching on the wing should be longer.

The mold for this pair looks like it's like what the 4's look like now. Narrow. The Older models of the 4's from '99 and prior are more wider.

Even though the box looks legit, the pair is not.

By any chance you have an OG IV john?  Used or DS to post so we both can verify your statement, that's all.

Hey I'm just trying to help you out. I don't understand why you're being defensive over a legit check when YOU asked for it. I supplied pictures of two Authentic pairs of Fire Red IV's from 1989, which you could have done yourself. You don't have so sound like a douche about it either..

You don't have to take my word, there are plenty of others who actually have more knowledge about OG's...

My bad bro.  I guess I felt like you rubbed my feathers not expecting the kind of response I got from you.  My question bout this pair is over since mj234eva voiced out his opinion.

so what is the final verdict? personally i find it fishy to have og's in such good condition the yellowing almost seems like it was done on purpose

Thanks bro. But I already got an opinion from mj234eva himself.  That's enough for me.  If you want to post photos when you get a chance, feel free but you don't really have to if it will take too much of your time. Your opinion as well is very much appreciated already.

That's a killer right there man.  It just needs crumpled paper to stuff inside your OG to make it stand a bit and its ready for photo shooting again.  But additional photos to post are unnecessary, your opinion is more than enough.  I appreciate it much. Feel free to post additional photos just to take the edge off work if you want.
