So I went to watch the Northman last night. Holy hell what an intense ride. 7/8 easily. Maybe 7.5. Doesn't eclipse Everything Everwhere as my favorite of the year so far, but its top 3. Eggers is so good at this movie making stuff.

Skarsgard - incredible. ******* incredible.
Taylor Joy - incredible but maybe underutilized, wanted more of her character.
Hawke and Bang - incredible and great with delivering depth to their relatively limited screen time.
Only complaint is that some of the pacing was a bit rushed in spots, Kidman didnt have enough to work with, and I feel like Eggers had another 20-30 minutes up his sleeve that the studio made him cut.
Brutal, sad, but visually and audibly mesmerizing. The battle scenes weren't held back, and the Viking life wasn't sugar coated. Eggers hitting 3/3 on his major pictures is great and I can't wait to see what he comes up with next.

Comparison Ford Comparison Ford Since you’ve already been questioned about a lot of popular films, I’ll ask you a film related question, but in a different way:

Which movies have you seen that you love? Ones that you would say: “Yeah, these are great movies.”

I believe everybody has their own personal favorite films, even if you’re not typically into movies per se.

End of Ozark episode 1

Did not expect the Javi storyline to end so quickly :rollin wow we saw imagined, imagined, and then real💥

The Northman

Exhausting.

Not my cup of tea. This is second recent movie like this (the new Batman). If this is the new trend guess i’ll have to sit these out. I’m more of a casual Phat Beach sort of guy. That movie really funny and good.
