I was reminded today that the Aretha Franklin biopic dropped last year (mid-pandemic seems like a blur). I saw it in theaters and it was a very good movie. Although Ms. Franklin herself did not want the movie to be made, I think it/Jennifer Hudson did her justice.

*For those who saw the movie and might not know, many people believe the abuse she suffered that resulted in her first child came at the hands of her father. I can see why she wouldn't want to re-live that in any fashion, but they changed it around a little in the movie.

On a lighter note, it was cool to see Marlon Wayans in a more dramatic role. Although I was still laughing when he got yoked up by Forest Whitaker

washington and battinson were great. action was dope. the story was great but it just wasnt executed well. i think better and clearer dialogue would of helped. the sound mixing was crap. some where in the middle, a scene breaking down a little more the parallels of the time travel would of helped piece it better on first watch. overall, still enjoyed it just wished it was a little smoother.

we got to get mickey's thoughts on The Rock

Rourke is not like any of the dudes he named but I guess its okay he aspires to be that good even when he's not.

There's no big secret that Tom Cruise is not your actor's actor. He is the movie star though

Today in film history: “Bully” (2001) was released in theaters. A film by Larry Clark.
#Michael Pitt #Bijou Phillips #Leo Fitzpatrick

Prequel was a smart move. They can ignore all the weird **** that King put in the book that caused the Volume 2 film to be inferior.
Again for like fourth time earlier today I read that the time he wrote this (80-89) and several other films he was on that white heavy and anything you read rather (solicitous or very concerning)after regarding that is what it is:lol:

There's an hour long Forensic Files episode on it if you're interested. I think it's one of the first episodes of the show. But yeah would be cool for a modern doc to be made covering it.

Owen Wilson was the same age I am when he got got by that Anaconda. That means I'm on borrowed time.

You'll be all right. Just stay away from the Amazon and don't put your trust in Paraguayan seminary school drop-outs who catch snakes for a living.

Will have to look for this. Did see something a while back on YT but don't think it was forensic files. That narrator and theme music too damn unforgettable
