Watched Shawshank this weekend, excellent as advertised.  Reminded me very much of The Green Mile, mostly because it was written by the same man.

Shawshank Redemption is one of the most overrated movie ever, but I still like it. I'm just not on the bandwagon of people that hail it as an all-time great.

The Green Mile, however... EXCELLENT movie.

City of God was like that for me.  I liked the movie, thought it was really good, but I saw some people sayin it changed their life, and it's close to top 25 all time and all that on IMDB's list, and I just don't see it. 

Very hard judging movie ratings etc etc.  People's tastes are so all over the place. 


I read "Murderball" is the top rated sports movie of all time.  What the hell is that movie about?

i think i read that he was going to be the manager of a Major League team owned by Meat and Sarandon (who got married.)
