I figured you would just sense that someone made a post like that, like feeling a disturbance in the Force.

Not gonna be able to sleep tonight. :{

IYen, I'll be in shortly with a few thoughts, need to gather myself first. Gimme an hour or so.

I'll save you the trouble... Just watch the original trilogy. They're iconic and important in the history of cinema and beloved by millions of all ages.

And stop reading if you haven't yet, people are spoiling things

All this Star Wars talk makes me wanna watch those first but I gotta watch these blu's that I haven't even seen yet lol.

Hopefully, whatever you've seen has confused you and you don't yet know any spoilers. If that is the case, you are a lucky lucky individual and I am envious of you.

What you need to do is simple. Start with the OG Star Wars, episode IV (1977) and DO NOT get the altered George Lucas version. Find the ORIGINAL edition. I believe the regular DVD has it, not the Blu Ray copy. I think Blu Ray only has the altered version, I do not want that for you. Find the DVD trilogy that has both, and watch the og version. I can not stress this to you enough. No phones, no laptops, and NO BREAKS. Please don't watch for 15 minutes, switch to Friends for a while, maybe some NBA, then back to SW. No, give yourself 2.5 hours of complete quiet, and enjoy. You will thank me.

After you finish that, take a day or so, or even go straight into the next if you have the time, The Empire Strikes Back. The Godfather II in other words. One of the best films in the history of cinema. The primary reason you need to sit down and watch these movies. Again, OG version, no phone, etc etc.

Return of the Jedi next, same rules as before, this is while great, not the same level of ESB, but not exactly Godfather III either. A very satisfying conclusion, just a smidge more flaws than the previous 2 films.

After that, come in here, talk to me. PM, letter, or here in full view, however you wish.

Then, I will prepare you for Episodes I II and III. I'll need that time to ease you into it.

Understand, Star Wars is about entire universe(S) so you will see several different types of "aliens" that in that movieverse, aren't even really aliens, they are just characters, people, like anyone else. So you will see some "weird" ****, pay that no mind. Keep your mind open, and you'll do fine.

Do not read spoilers, look things up online, nothing. (I'm speaking in terms of if you know nothing at all about the series yet, if you already know stuff, then it won't matter)

Remember, find the OG DVD copies. Do not watch the altered versions, or reruns on Spike TV or any of that garbage.

May the Force be with you.

(God, that's ****** corny) :lol

*****WARNING****

Don't read any of the next page if it regards anything SW. Do not read anything.

1000

Here is what the DVD's look like that you need to find. They have 2 disks I thing, one the OG, one is the altered version that you should never ever ever watch. You want the theatrical versions.

Yo CP.... how long after does A New Hope take place after Revenge Of The Sith???

and how come Obi Wan doesn't call Vader by his real name?

18 years

Because he took a new name. They all take the Darth moniker when they become Sith. (including Dooku, I believe he was Darth Tyrannus, even tho they called him Count Dooku, he's a bit hazy story wise)

Revenge of the Sith takes place before a New Hope. Its a prequel. ROTS is Episode III and New Hope is Episode IV. Did you mean how long after ROTS is a New Hope? In that case, its got to be about 18 or 19 years, because Luke is just born at the end of ROTS and is somewhere in his late teens or early 20s when New Hope takes place.

Ya that's what I meant

that makes sense with the 18-19 year gap

I understand the Darth moniker, but I feel like Obi Wan, being Anikan's former father/brother figure would still call him by his real name

That'd be like Metta World Peace's family and friends calling him Metta

I do not want that for you.
:lol

I hear that the way you should treat the prequels is watching A New Hope and Empire, then the prequels, then Return, cuz supposedly it's the only way not to **** the og 3 up, but still have a good ending.
