Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

The Hobbit was worth the price of admission to see the high frame rate IMAX 3D. I've never seen anything like that before... it blew me away.

Watched Kiss Kiss Bang Bang again tonight... man I forget how much I love that movie.

now that I think about it, I dont remember a single one of the dwarves
Yup....It's fake Aragorn and a bunch of Ewoks, with Bilbo only needing to be in 1 scene for the whole movie.

Bowman...why'd you have to say Ewoks? I was pretty whatever on the movie, til you said that. 8o :lol

I'll admit...the last hour is just straight gorgeous. I mean it's more Pirates of the Carribean and Harry Potter than it is LOTR, but I'd put that up against anything in Avatar.

It's just outside of one scene in a cave with a certain character, there's no story here.
Fellowship of the Ring was a story with a beginning, middle and end, this has one of those, dragged out to the death.

I love that ******g movie. Top 5

House of Lies did get better. Much more interesting than it was last season. Plus, I think Kristen Bell is so hot. She might be my favorite right now.

Just started watching Junebug, the film that put Amy Adams on the map. 45 mins into it. Shes great in the role, the film is dry and dull thiugh

For all the bad reviews Battle: LA got it wasn't that bad....Battleship was definitely worse for sure. It was a good popcorn flick.

Where do you guys get your Blu Ray's from? I want to start getting rid of my DVD's and buying the Blu Ray versions of them.

Best Buy, Amazon, Target and Wal-Mart. If you go to bluray.com they have a deals page and it lists every Blu that is on sale and where you can get it. Very helpful site

A buddy dramedy. It's relatively tame nowadays.

Yes. I doubt it would even get an NC-17 rating if it came out now. Just R. Interesting movie. Good performances by John Voight and Dustin Hoffman. But nothing I'm in a rush to see again.

I finally got around to the The Master... Am I the only one who was bored out of my mind?

Damn that's crazy man. When they first get to LA/Santa Monica it's nuts to see the destruction that happens and all the streets I recognized :lol

I actually had high hopes for the movie, but once I quickly realized what it was I just kicked back and took it for it was and enjoyed it :)

I'm only missing the highlighted ones

My cousin recently recommended The Deer Hunter after the latest Justin Timberlake SNL (which was one of the best SNL's in a long time)
