So I know this might sound a little blasphemous to you guys, but bare with me, because I always tend to swim upstream.
I love KB, Pulp, and Inglourious. I have a certain appreciation for Reservoir, can't wait to see Django, and just in principle, I will definitely get around to seeing Jackie Brown, no doubt.
Suffice it to say I'm a fan.
So how is that blasphemous? It's not. This is: why is QT not lambasted for being a one trick pony?
He has a certain style that is undeniable and unique... and awesome.
But people hail him as arguably the greatest director ever without faulting him for NEVER veering from what we ALL expect from him.
Why is that?

It's cuz what he does is unique on to himself and it's always been his own style and he does it the best. Plus it's not like he's flooding the market with this product. Also despite appearing as a one trick pony none of his films are the same. You can't say you've seen one QT film so you've seen them all. He has a style and you'll see similar things in them but it's always different in some way. Most importantly he stays in his lane and always tries his best with each film and each film retains a pretty high replay value. I'm guaranteed to watch at least a few scenes from Pulp and Dogs anytime it's on tv.
With all that said though I've never really considered him the greatest director ever so that's probably another reason I wouldn't start criticizing what he has done. I will say due to his style I tend to have QT films in a category and ranking of their own rarely mixing with any other lists of films I'd cook up.

Indeed QT is an awesome director who has perfected his craft when it comes to creating "those kinds" of movies . Idk wat to even call the genre . But you can't really fault him for going in a different direction if it's a movie tht is legitimately good . I could understand if the movie was horrible but as long as he continues to make hits then i'dsay he's js showing the world tht he isn't js a director who can only make one type of movie .

Putting alot of pictures in spoilers is recommended.. It makes browsing on a phone easier.
And I wish I liked the Kill Bill movies as much as others do. I appreciate them and see the appeal but they're not as highly ranked for me.

As far as QT talk, the more and more I watch Jackie Brown.. The higher and higher it rises on my list, I absolutely love the use of music in that movie,

just watched "being john malkovich" and wow... one of the best movies i've seen,
it was entertaining and really smart..
at one point i laughed so hard that tears came out, which is very rare.
i didnt read anything about it and went in completely unaware, and man, im so glad i did that.
the movie is incredible, the cast the plot and the way spike jonze directed this was awesome.

I watched King Of New York last night for the first time in YEARS. I still think it's a good movie but It wasn't as good as I remembered. They left out some details and some parts was just boring.

Just came back from The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, not terrible but nothing special. Wish there was more magic to dazzle. Hard not to feel like a Sigried and Roy story just poking fun at new school magic. Laughs are mediocre at best. Jim Carrey is beyond annoying. Needed more Olivia Wilde magic
