Millions of people overseas who have no exposure to "black people" are soaking up all of the images and actions posted on that site daily...this is how they are forming images of our people and culture....all while someone else's pockets get fatter.

Asians who may never meet a black person in real life already have a terribly negative perception of our people that is hard to shake and will make our endeavors on the global stage that much harder.

Other "blacks" around the globe, who take ques from the hugely influential "African-American" population are now being molded by the worst of our society....under the false banner of "Hip-Hop".

You want to know why George Zimmerman felt threatened by a black youth in a hoody...and why the Police were able to treat an innocent unarmed young man like his life was worthless....look no further than the content on WS.

No I'm not blaming the world's problem on WS but I am calling for them to take responsibility for their impact. As some one living in the hood I have seen a significant shift amongst the youth who are absorbed in the filth of that platform.

The video of that girl getting dragged down her steps got 2 million views before the arrest was made in the same day. Right now the view counter is 4,273,468 and the vid was posted yesterday

Simply ignoring the site is not going to bring any change.

Hate to say it, but the internet as a whole needs some serious policing. It's like pandora's box. You can watch death, violence, hardcore p0rn, racist rants, commit theft etc...all in one sitting. It's virtual anarchy. Yes, it's only as potent as what the real world provides to it, but the platform itself needs guidelines, there is no order as the Internet stands today.

everyone in this thread is generally aware of themselves... socially and economically.

people in here can discuss things in a mature manner... we dont view ourselves as trying to gain quick fame and what not...

WE ARE A VERY SMALL MINORITY, especially as blacks.

90% of my teammates browse worldstar DAILY. the two that didnt... were the ones i could relate to and talk to about things outside of getting the new Jays or "polo everything"

hate to say it, but more black people love to see themselves in a negative light b/c it perpetuates society's view of our community.

in the black community, its cool to be a tough black guy that can fight. its cool to talk hood and sell big dope and rap. its cool to pop buns on the internet and cop all the RL clothes and spend money outside of your means.

its not going to change ANYTIME soon b/c its gotten so bad.... black = bad and black people are comfortable and accepting of that.

SIDENOTE: THERE WILL NEVER BE A PREDIMINANTLY WHITE OR LATINO SITE THAT RIVALS WSHH. there isnt that self loathing, poor image of themselves like my people have.

but where does the line between free open web and restricted get drawn? child pornography and wshh needs policing..but say websites that feature politically liberal material (example)? maybe that falls under policing too. maybe that wasn't a coherent enough of example but you see what im trying to say. i agree with policing but i just don't want scrutiny on the stuff that doesn't deserve it.
