Olive 9s holiday 2024

What a difference the high mudguard makes. :pimp: OG's and some 2002's that had it (like below) look so much damn better.

It's a shame they don't make them like this anymore. :smh::smh::smh: It has a big effect on how the shoe looks.

Other than the low mudguard, I love my pair. They did a good a job on these. Reminds me of how good they did the last shadow 10s which were a damn near perfect remake of the OG. It’s a shame they didn’t treat the powder blue 9s with same respect.

Agreed these 2024 Olives are a well done retro.

When did they start to put a number next to Air Jordan on the box?

I'm honestly not sure. I definitely remember getting a Flight Club mailing sometime around the 9's but before the first set of retros that referred to the models by number, which we found really weird since most folks referred to older ones by the year. That's the first time I can ever remember any official Nike document acknowledging "Air Jordan 3" instead of 1988's, etc.

I'm coming back around for these. Got to get two pair of cement 3s and carolina 11s first though (since I still have the last olive 9s that dropped)

I could be wrong but I don’t remember seeing it until the 12’s…

I’ve seen OG 7 boxes with and without the number. Not sure when it started but I think it’s a case of some did and some didn’t.

I recall seeing them on the 12 boxes when growing up. Although boxes weren't numbered, we still called them by numbers 3, 4, 5, 6, etc. etc. These were a pic of my og 11s and they had no numbers on the box
