Canon G9/G10. Canon for sure. There's no competition.

I shoot with a Nikon DSLR, but I would definitely buy a Canon P&S without a doubt if I needed one.

There are ALWAYS alternatives to Canon.

In the P&S market: Panasonic (LX3 or the new GF1), Ricoh (GX200 or GR Digital III), Olympus (EP-1), Leica (X1 or the DLux4), etc... the list goes on.
