i hope the actress who plays Lolly wins some type of award for this season. outstanding acting.
It has to boil down to politics and the highest or maybe lowest bidder really. How are some of these girls in minimum security prison with the crimes they committed?? Crazy eyes for example. That **** would get you a death sentance in other states.

She was great last season as well. I don't know if it was the same actor but whoever played young Lilly did excellent also
Young Lilly was a diff actress.
I know because I was like "is that the same actress", so I stopped paused, FF'ed , Rewound, IMDB'd until I found out it was a diff girl.
She portrayed the young Lilly to a damn tee.
Still have a few episdoes left, been skimming the thread, nice to see cats cool enough to use spoilers

well she also looked a whole lot younger than older Lolly. But yeah she did such a good job that she makes you think its the same. She had the voice and mannerism down to a T

Red is locked up for her and her husband's debt basically ... they old the Russian mob and Red also popped one of the Boss' wife's implants. So they put the bodies in their freezer. There was a snippet of information in the show.Remember when Piscatello was interrogating Red?
He questioned why she was at a minimum security prison because they found four (?) bodies (in pieces) in her business.
There were other murderers too (Frieda).
What I was saying is that if Crazy Eyes really did what she did (not physically, but involved) when they came to arrest her and going through trial sentencing, theres no way she gets convicted and just sent to prison. She would have immediately been sent to a psych hospitalIIRC, these chicks are doing all fed time. Sentencing rules are different and crazy eyes is not that bright.
The apex of the last episode for me was the so-called Poussey back-story that was not one. Its last scene was not a flashback but rather her passage into the after life after her murder based on motifs of the Wizard of Oz (the film the Wiz was discussed by Poussey and her friends previously then screened in the prison and interrupted). Lost in NYC, she meets two drag queens who resemble the Lion and the Tinman (note the red coloring of one and the metallic face of the other) who take her to a club (OZ) where she meets a third drag queen and where the Wizard appears in the form of a DJ orchestrating a performance piece with a light show and music. Later in Brooklyn, after journeying underground by subway , and trying to get "home "to her friends from whom she was separated, Poussey encounters a troupe of seemingly Buddhist monks in yellow saffron robes,( yellow brick road plus munchkin motifs here) riding bicycles with decorative lights who take her to edge of the the East River, which is actually the river Styx (mentioned earlier in the episode by Boo when confronted with her abandoned corpse). The episode ends with Poussey at the edge of the river, turning her face back at the audience but also looking back her past, her expression full of hope, expectation and wonder. She never finds her friends nor travels to Amsterdam. Its a very very moving scene. The message is clear and radical she is no longer imprisoned, but only in death, while her corpse lays for hours on the cafeteria floor like Michael Brown at Ferguson. Black Lives matter and the OITNB is the new Wire exposing America to its traumatized core.
Man....Season 4 is just as good or better than the first
I wish Healy had walked in that lake and counted the grains of sand at the bottom, he just became such a bum. He redeemed himself with "helping" Lolly. Also understood him and hated him a lil less seeing how his moms was crazy and seein' what his dad "taught" him about lesbians smh
Def enjoyed Lolly's story more than anybody else. It helped me understand mental health issues. Almost made a thug cry
As soon as I seen ol boy just chillin' on P back I knew it was over for her. Would have never expected her to die.
Them two meth heads gotta be the most annoying people ever to disgrace a television screen
Ol Beer Can still a sac less boss, shoulda told ol boys to hit them bricks, and gave em an hour to collect they stuff
I hate Diya gon end up caught up in this riot crap and now prob never see her kid cause her mom immature and unreliable. Next season better be perfect because it's got quite an act to follow
Someones comment on IGN about the end ..
