IMO the Nike frees and the diamond turf Oregons look better than these but since its on a foam it will sell and be hyped for 10 times more

As someone that was playing in foams whilst many of you were still in kids sizes and as someone that purchased a dozen pairs of volts on the clearance rack in '99 for $50 apiece when no one wanted them i'm totally disgusted by the 'trendiness' of these longtime underappreciated kicks.
It's completely ridiculous that a general release like the Oregons could be worth 3X their cost the day of release and yet og ds ones and pros from 17 years ago can be purchased for $350-400. It tells me that the sneaker game is full of rich dbs that could care less about the history of the line. All that matters is the hype, and if anyone thinks that in 5-10 years the current range of foams are going to be worth any more than they are know you'd be mistaken. At least 30- 50% of all foams sold in the last five years have been kept deadstock and will remain that way. The value only goes up if people wear them (making those that remain ds rare) and that's just not happening. 11 releases in 2013; expect 15-20 more in 2014.
My advice: if you can get $750 for your Oregons now, you'd me a moron to keep them. And, if you're one of the ones paying $750 and you're not making at least $150K a year you're an even bigger dope.

Get ready to be called old, bitter, a hater, broke, etc.

You can't tell today's overly entitled and undereducated consumer anything.

were they a general release?

Today's kicks are a step up from beenie babies.
For anyone that doesn't get that reference, you should not be posting; rather take some time to learn from those that have been doing this for a really long time.

thanks for calling me a moron for deciding to keep a shoe in my collection. much appreciated.

depends on size.

size 7-9 is like $400-450

size 10-11 $450-550

size 12 $550-$750
im letting my sz13 go for 600 tomorrow. Not the greatest price in the world but these foams are nothing special to me. If I see them for cheaper down the line ill cop otherwise ill just worry about the preludes this weekend

Nike.com = general release....anyone could get them while sitting in their undies at home
its not that easy to cop, times have changed my man. Theres a reason ppl are willing to pay two-three times retail on a lot of releases(minimum, sometimes there are kicks that go for more) and it aint the fact that they can just walk into a store and cop at retail :lol
