don't mind those air max sndrs, but re-up on some ES4s. excited to take the neo vistas out this weekend for a spin and will use it to determine if i want to try the neo zen. evo SL did great this morning and were what i was looking for in an unplated daily trainer

Waiting on a good NVB5 cw. The cws have been mediocre since the 4s. The colorblocking/cws for the 3s was the pinnacle, IMHO.

I’m reading it essentially feels like the VFN3 with more foam under the toes. I wasn’t fond of VFN3 being so soft, especially at the forefoot, so will probably pass on AP4 until the sales start in Q4 2025.
I have a pair and it's not as soft as the ZoomX in the VF3, but noticeably softer and less aggressive feeling than the AP3. But the upper is leaps and bounds better than the AP3, which makes all the difference to my feet.

Has anyone tried the Brooks Glycerin max? I was thinking about picking up a pair for both running and casual.

I think a few of us tried it. I returned mine. Mainly due to duplication of purpose with my ASICS Super Blast 2.
It was a good shoe. Soft, bouncy and deliver a nice soft ride when running. There’s also a slight rocker. Which may/may not be a plus or differentiator against the Super Blast 2. I can’t really say which upper I preferred.
Plus like someone mentioned Brooks has a good return policy.

and also returned mine because of the overlap with SB2—the redundancy didn’t justify $200. The Max has a softer/bouncier ride (after a few days of breaking in) but isn’t as versatile pace wise. It also rides a bit heavy. However, the forward rocker helps mitigate the weight by promoting a quicker turnover. Nonetheless, I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable cruiser. Plus, the upper’s construction is excellent and has a premium feel to it.

Been waiting for these to drop. I knew if they didn’t sellout immediately they would go on discount. I never see any reviews on these
There’s probably 0% chance that’ll happen; at least, I can only assume it won’t happen here in the USA. So far all colorways have been selling out, even restocks. Hope I’m wrong. I’ve been trying to get my runner-friends to try it but they’re turned off by the $200 price tag.
Ive seen/read a few and they’ve all been generally positive; most prefer the Balos over the 1080. I’ve a friend who was in love with the Superblast 2 but the Balos kicked it to the curb—she wears nothing else now.
