I'm driving to the Bay Area from Vegas for Xmas. I was born and raised in CA and never have really been on the PCH 
, It's clear weather and I have a few days of nothing going on so I figured I'd make a day trip out of it. I should get to the PCH in Orange County at about 7am. From there I plan on driving up to the Bay.
-Does anyone have any suggestions for stops to make along the way? food, sights, viewpoints, etc?
-From Vegas I was planning on taking the 15 to Dana Point, CA where the 1 begins. Is that the most efficient route to get to Highway 1?
