it still amazes me, how much underrated and hate Dirk gets on here.

Exactly. If I had to choose which PF I wanted on my team, it would easily be Dirk over Pau. I saw that when Memphis made the playoffs and Dirkclearly dominated Gasol throughout the whole series. Dallas obviously had a better team, but Pau couldn't hold his own.

Amare's FG% last season: 59.0
Amare's FG% vs the Spurs in the playoffs: 48.5

Gasol's FG% last season w/ the Lakers: 58.9
Gasol's FG% vs the Spurs in the playoffs: 44.6

The difference in scoring can probably be attributed to a higher number of field goal and free throw attempts by Amar'e.

% of field goals Gasol is assisted on: 57.0
% of field goals Dirk is assisted on: 56.0

I already stated that he benefits by playing with Kobe, but that doesn't mean we should discount the his skills.

Still, I'll take off the rose colored glasses and state, like others, that it's hard to rate him top 5 (again, offense alone) because he doesn'tseem to have the mindset to put up enough shots to have those monster games (40+ points) the other players have. He's probably too unselfish to have thosegames.
Dallas obviously had a better team, but Pau couldn't hold his own.
How about this year? Pau was able to hold his own in both games. From what I remember, the same can be said for most of his games against thepremiere power forwards.

NEver ahs accomplished anything in the playoffs, feel like the man is scared or something but he definitely top 10
