Paying for an application for an intership?

didn't know you had to pay for an application just to put your spot in on an internship.......

the fund of american studies, googled it..and it came up......it gives you a list of internship programs to choose from...from spring, summer and fall.

they have some on business, journalism, philantrophy, legal studies, etc.

but you have to drop that fee just to put your bid in.....

Paying a potential employer for ANYTHING = NO-GO in my book

That goes for anything from "certificate" training to equipment deposits. Not all of these employers are straight scams but there are too many jobs out there for you to be paying out of pocket to possibly make money.

I'd flip burgers before I pay $250 to walk door to door selling knives, small business insurance, financial services, etc..
