how many days do i have until i can ask for money back?? because i think im getting scammed and im curious if i have to call paypal before theres a deadlineor somthing

all im asking is do i have a certain amount of time to call paypal to get my money back? or if i dont get an item from the seller, i can just call paypalanytime i want to cancel that payment?
