*PHILADELPHIA EAGLES* Official 20-21 Regular Season Thread: WEEK 1 EAGLES vs Football Team 1pm ET

History has told us that teams who don't value draft picks are the perrenial losers unless I'm missing things

it's like Howie is just throwing **** against the wall and hoping its sticks

Again why did we Resign Bradford and bring in Daniels if this was his plan ?

to be fair history also tells us 9 times outta 10 you don't win anything in this league with free agent QB's or a QB that another team gave up on which is the route we've gone for how many years now? It's been SOOOOO long since McNabb and if you feel like there's a chance to get your franchise QB for the next decade I guess you gotta take that chance. Brees and Peyton (which was a unique situation) are the only two super bowl winners of recent memory I can think of that won on their second team.

Only thing about this deal I truly hate is all the damn money tied to QB's. Chase Daniel's deal was so damn stupid

This is probably what he needs to take it to the next level. I don't think he ever truly had competition. I mean, competition had Vick go from a disappointment to mvp candidate. And Foles with the 27-2

He can be mad all he want , bad knee having ahh

Watched some wentz highlights and man Im extremely happy we made this trade, regardless of who we end up with.

Stillin mentioned the 5'8 thing before some place..

But along with that, dude was the valedictorian of his high school class and was an honor student throughout college.. So not just big and dumb

And he didn't come up through all the QB camps and played a couple other sports in high school because he was a small guy (basketball and baseball).. I just like the instincts playing other sports helps with

I hope Wentz goes #1 and you guys end up with Goff. As a Niner fan I don't want this guy working us for the next 10 years in LA.

He's gonna a beast.

The trade was a lot of picks to give up but as stated already having a Franchise QB is everything in terms of long term sustained success in the NFL.

Very happy with the trade. I don't know what the Rams are doing, but if they select the Eagles' guy, we can hopefully trade out of #2 on draft night to someone willing to take the other QB.

The secondary is a mess and our receivers are suspect, but we can fill these positions in later rounds. Other than that we have a solid squad. Hoping we can move Bradford to whatever team still in need of a QB. [Jets?]

They ain't trading up to just trade back down. Secondary is far from a mess.

I mean, this could be applied to anybody but if Doug is confident that he can help develop Wentz then I have no problem with the compensation. At this point you have to do something to get your guy, time will tell whether or not he's the right guy tho.

^ haha that's a gem. As long as Carson loves football and ain't trying to be a fireman we got hope

Works for me, wait til June 1st when his salary goes down to 7 or 7.5 and trade him to the Broncos for a conditional 3rd

If he makes X amount of starts or they make the playoffs that pick can become a 2nd

I really hope we finessed Elway out of their first this year & a 2 nd next year . They're desperate make them sweat . Or even their 2nd this year & their 2nd next year would be fine .

Man no way we get a 1st for bradford, hell even a 2nd is highly unlikely.

yea there is no way we get first...id be shocked for a second....3rd seems more realistic...

You have to remember he's only gonna cost a team $7.5 million

A seconder isn't out of the question
