It makes no sense too, he's big, you don't need to know a playbook to run a go or comeback route, he should be able to use his size to catch. I didn't like the pick from the jump but it's worse than I imagined.This is embarrassing

I said this here the other day. Aside from our summer before the SB year, Howie hasn’t signed many notable guys. He’s still a wiZard with cap space but you can have all the cap space you want and it means nothing if nobody is signing

well we were looking at low risk and hoping for high rewards.. not sure what role joe Douglas played in things, because we know he focused on production over talent
we also know we have been weak at developing certain positions and unfortunately those guys got bigger roles

JMatt isn't a speedster but he's strong and runs decent routes which is all you need to convert 3rd and short. Wentz converted a lot of firsts throwing to Matthews last season. Also, secondaries gotta play a little more true with a decent WR like JMatt rather than when Hollins is on the field and they barely pay him any mind defensively
