*PHILADELPHIA EAGLES* Official 20-21 Regular Season Thread: WEEK 1 EAGLES vs Football Team 1pm ET

Listening to some sports radio this week, I hate this whole "Superbowl hangover" people have been saying for two years now. I'm just not seeing it and it's old. But I guess they get paid to talk and that's an easy well to keep going back to.
As a kid, I grew up listening to WIP and The Fanatic. But as social media has gotten bigger, I listen to more guys like Baldy and Kist. Guys who actually watch film.

It just sucks because this whole fanbase is so used to losing that they can't get out of their own way when we actually have a good thing in a guy like Wentz

We got a large passionate fan base.. that is rivals for other very large fan bases

we’re an easy target

I disagree. It's foolish to say run defense is unimportant because it's a passing league. It's just one less concern for them to improve. They can focus on fixing the trash secondary. If both the run and pass defense sucked then we'd be in even bigger trouble for the future

We sell out to stop the run every week. Any competent QB will check to a quick hitting pass play to torch our secondary

Even if the run defense was trash they’d still torch the secondary lol. The Cowboys game, Zeke was getting chunks against the run but Dak still torched us because he knew he could easily complete passes. Why settle for 7-8 yard runs when you can complete a 40 yard pass with little pressure

But selling out makes it a lot easier to torch em.

“8 in the box, corners on islands. **** it I’m throwing it up” - Ryan Fitzpatrick, Dak last year

while I don't buy it fully I think a lot of players on this team flat out aren't hungry anymore, and they DEFINITELY don't show the same chemistry this year as they did in 2017. Just looking at the players body language on the field and seeing the coaches during the press conferences they don't seem like they're having much fun nor truly believe in each other

Big ups to whoever put the thread onto Chris Long and Ryan Russillo podcast a few weeks back. Been my go to on a weekly basis

No reason we cant emulate what the bears did on offense tonight. Even with our wideouts. They better keep this film in the tuck.
RPO and tuck it Carson. We know he’s willing to do it when it’s called. Also LVE being hurt makes a difference

The NFCE is such trash. We’re 1 win from taking the division lead, or 1 loss from a top 10 pick :rofl::rofl:
